The Jaguar E-Type needs little introduction. When it was unveiled in 1961, Enzo Ferrari famously described it as “the most beautiful car ever made.” With the introduction of the Series 3 in 1971, Jaguar entered a new era, focusing on increased refinement, greater comfort and, above all, significantly more power thanks to the impressive 5.3 litre V12 engine.
The Series 3 is distinguished by its wider track, revised front design and more luxurious interior. While earlier E-Types were pure sports cars, the V12 version evolved into a true grand tourer, perfectly suited for long-distance driving. The V12 delivers exceptional smoothness, quiet operation and effortless performance, making it ideal for relaxed yet prestigious motoring.
This particular example, built in 1971 and finished in an elegant green, was professionally restored in the past and is now presented in very good condition. Equipped with an automatic transmission, it perfectly matches the refined and comfortable character of the Series 3. Today, this E-Type V12 represents a highly attractive classic for enthusiasts seeking iconic design combined with comfort and the prestige of Jaguar’s most legendary engine.
In preparation for the sale and at the request of a prospective buyer, a compression test was carried out, confirming what we already knew: the engine is in perfect condition!
