• MG B from 1964 with overdrive and Coune hardtop
• 1,795 cc engine with manual transmission
• Indicated mileage of 53,968 km
• Older professional restoration
• Belgian registration documents and Belgian Car-Pass
The MG B is one of the best-known British sports cars of the 1960s. Its classic proportions, simple engineering and distinctive driving experience make it a recognisable and much-loved classic.
This example was first registered on 15 September 1964 and is finished in Red. The 1,795 cc engine is paired with a manual transmission with overdrive. The car is also equipped with a distinctive Coune hardtop. Jacques Coune was a Belgian coachbuilder based in Brussels, known for exclusive creations such as the MGB Berlinette, the remarkable MGB Gemini Spyder and his special hardtops for the MG B.
The indicated mileage is 53,968 km. The chassis number is GHN3L32882.
The car underwent a professional restoration in the past. The body was professionally repainted, but welding work is required on the floor panels. Welding work is also present on the underside. The interior was restored and shows signs of use. The Coune hardtop is a distinctive and unusual feature of this MG B.
The engine runs well but requires adjustment. The fuel lines are old and need to be replaced. There is a coolant leak at the radiator tap and the coolant itself also needs to be replaced. The gearbox shows signs of wear and crunches when shifting into second gear.
The overdrive could not be assessed during the inspection, presumably due to an electrical issue. Several electrical components and the lighting also require attention.
Our Oldtimerfarm inspection team has prepared an expert report for this car.
