Partially restorable example with a correct base
Original appearance with signs of use
Belgian registration documents
The Citroën 2CV is known for its simple engineering, comfortable suspension and functional character. This 1983 example represents an honest and correct base for enthusiasts looking for a classic 2CV to further improve or restore.
The car was first registered on 24/01/1983 and is presented in a partially restorable condition. The bodywork shows superficial corrosion in several areas, with no major structural issues observed. The paintwork requires refurbishment; virtually every panel shows rust or damage, and repainting is recommended.
The underside is easy to improve and was fully coated with anti-stone-chip protection in the past. It is generally correct, except for corrosion at the right rear sill, where welding work is required. The underside is dirty but not severely affected.
The tyres still have good tread but are old (DOT 2009) and therefore of limited usability. They are not cracked.
The interior is original and shows normal signs of use. The seats are not torn, but the interior is dirty and can be easily refreshed. The carpets are torn in several places. The right rear door does not open. The roof is in good condition.
The chassis number is original and clearly legible, located on the right front chassis beam. The engine bay is complete but dirty and easy to improve.
Mechanically, the engine runs well, showing normal wear. Maintenance is required. A slight oil leak is present but remains limited. The oil is very dark, although the level is correct; the brake fluid is in good condition. The battery will need replacement in the near future, although the car currently starts well.
The brakes and handbrake function correctly. Electrically, the wipers, dashboard, horn and lighting work properly. Suspension and axles function correctly.
