After the unexpected success of the 3-litre turbo, Porsche decided to accelerate the development of the next generation. From 1977, the engine capacity increased by 0.3 liters to 3299 cc. The power thus increases to 300 hp and the torque to 412 Nm. It thus becomes Ferrari's biggest competitor, while being much less expensive.

Te 3.3 liter is distinguished from the 3 liter only by details: the rear wing, enormous, changes profile, layout of the front fog lights, and the mythical black Fuch rims. As for the interior, it is completely covered in leather (seats, roof, dashboard, doors, etc.), the thick carpet is in wool, the seats are heated, and other details that show that you are well at the wheel of a luxurious car that can take you over very long distances without getting tired.

The success of the 911 3.3 liters (code 930) will be such that it will be produced for 12 years! it was the 911 Carrera code 964 which succeeded it in 1988.
